Maurice Washington did not enter the game in the first half for the Nebraska Cornhuskers as they took on South Alabama at Memorial Stadium in the season-opener on Saturday. That wasn’t exactly shocking, since the sophomore running back is facing a felony child pornography charge in California and has a hearing set for Tuesday. 

But head coach Scott Frost revealed in a halftime interview that Washington would enter the game in the second half, adding “We’re not running the ball very well right now.”
