Nestle will cut 126 jobs in Wisconsin, half of them in Appleton and Medford

Nestlé USA Inc. and its Dreyer’s ice cream unit will eliminate 126 Wisconsin jobs, including 64 jobs combined in Appleton and Medford, Nestlé told state officials Friday.

The company will close plants in the two northern Wisconsin communities by Dec. 31, and will reduce employment by another 62 jobs at facilities in Delavan and Sussex in southeastern Wisconsin.

The layoff at Nestlé’s Medford site, 904 S. Whelen Ave., will affect 32 employees. The same number of jobs will be cut at the Appleton facility, 3900 Freedom Road.
