In a story Sept. 13 about the University of Wyoming honoring black athletes kicked off the football team, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Wyoming won the Sugar Bowl the year before the 1969 season. Wyoming lost the Sugar Bowl after the 1967 season in a game played on Jan. 1, 1968.
