Triple Crown winner American Pharoah is still making history after a record sale at Keeneland on Wednesday.

A filly sired by the sold for $8.2 million to Mandy Pope’s Whisper Hill Farm during the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

It’s the highest-priced filly ever sold at Keeneland’s September Sale and the highest there for any sale since 2006, when it took $11.2 million to purchase the Kingmambo colt Meydan City.
