Kristen Rogers was named the director of education for the Georgetown Palace Theatre, according to a Sept. 17 news release.

Rogers replaces Jonathan Young who announced his departure in early September, the release said.

Rogers’ education and career as an actor, director, teacher and arts administrator has taken her all around the country, including New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago, the release said. Rogers also has experience working with children and adults of all ages, including teaching Early College-High School theater courses as an adjunct associate professor of drama at Austin Community College, the release said. Rogers holds a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School, and she is currently an advanced doctoral candidate in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Theatre
