Of all the technologies that are coming to affect gaming, — which brings much faster wireless broadband speeds to smartphones and other devices on mobile networks — is one of the biggest.

But it’s also in some ways unpredictable in terms of its impact. It could introduce more cloud-based services, such as the that Sprint launched with its 5G service. It could bring more multiplayer games and subscription titles, as well as other things.
