MOSES LAKE — Garth Dano is concerned about the quality of civics education.

The Grant County Prosecutor told members of the Moses Lake School Board during a regular meeting Thursday evening that he is concerned a lot of young Americans don’t know the things they need to know to participate thoughtfully in the civil discourse needed for effective republic self-government.

“It requires thoughtful action, not just what makes you feel good,” Dano said.
