Construction is set to begin this month on the Compass Entertainment Complex, a multi-screen movie theater and family entertainment center. An official groundbreaking ceremony has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, September 12, at Wilson Lane and Irvington Road, Weems.

Area business leaders, legislators and members of the public are encouraged to attend and learn more about the new development.

The new 28,000-square-foot family entertainment venue, which has tentative plans to open its doors in Spring 2020, is the brainchild of local business owners Julien Patterson and Terri Wesselman.

“This entertainment venue will be the first of its kind for this region and we are very excited to enter the construction phase of this project,” said Patterson.
