Domtar Corporation, a paper mill company, has announced that it will permanently shut down a Port Huron paper mill machine and reduce its staff by 22 employees.
Along with the Port Huron mill, an Ashdown, Arkansas, pulp and paper mill will also close a machine.
These measures will reduce the company’s annual uncoated freesheet paper capacity by about 204,000 short tons and will reduce the workforce by about 100 employees, according to a Domtar Corporation press release.
