For the October Potluck & Poison Ivy program, 7 p.m. today at The Joint, 301 Main St., North Little Rock, poet and publisher Bryan Borland, founder of North Little Rock-based Sibling Rivalry Press, will read poems by Karl Tierney, a graduate of the University of Arkansas’ master’s program in creative writing who in 1995 jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge after being rejected from a trial AIDS-treatment study that would have extended his life.
