Gordon Food Service plans to build a new distribution center in the NorthPoint Industrial Park in Westfield, creating hundreds of jobs in the area. 

The planned 500,000-square-foot, semi-automated center, located along U.S. 31 north of 191st Street, will create more than 200 new jobs initially, with the potential to create up to 400 total in the future, according to the city.
