TAHLEQUAH — The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation recently announced that Northeastern State University’s College of Education is one of 13 providers from nine states and Puerto Rico that were recognized for leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.
Recipients of the Frank Murray Leadership Recognition are selected from the pool of Educator Preparation Providers that earned CAEP accreditation in the previous year. These institutions provided evidence and demonstrated data trends with no stipulations for areas for improvement. Providers selected advance equity and excellence in educator preparation through the purposeful use of self-study procedures and evidence-based reporting that assure quality and support with continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 learning.
