In its fourth and final season, ’The Good Place’ has inspired much fan devotion, quippy T-shirts, mugs and now an unofficial cookbook: ’Forking Good.’

It was an improbable premise: an existential half-hour sitcom about a rag-tag group of disparate humans navigating the afterlife, crafty demons, philosophy and the very nature of goodness, with a little romance, friendship, giant shrimp and some Jacksonville Jaguars jokes thrown in.

Yet, NBC’s “The Good Place,” which stars Kristen Bell and Ted Danson and airs Thursdays at 9 p.m., has become a smart, sharp and sweet hit.
