Six weeks into the 2019 season, the New England Patriots sure look like they could use a pass-catching, play-making tight end.

But quarterback Tom Brady said Monday that he’s not going to lobby one such player, Rob Gronkowski, to come out of retirement and rejoin the team.

“Look, I love that guy,” Brady said . “I’m happy that he’s enjoying his life. He seems to really be doing a lot of great things. He knows how I feel about him. I want what’s best for him. He’s the only person that can make those decisions.”
