QUINCY — City council will hear from Mayor Thomas Koch Monday night about his proposal to acquire four parcels of land around Southern Artery for the building of a new police station.

Koch wants city council to approve the purchase of 450 Southern Artery, 21 Broad St., 39 Broad St. and 12 Field St. to make room for a public safety building that would house the entire Quincy police department and administration for the fire department, as well as make room for a park dedicated to first responders.
