MARIETTA — Approaching economics from the form of storytelling is how Marietta College hopes to entice local attendance at the annual Milton Freidman Lecture next month.

Allison Schrager, author of “An Economist Walks into a Brothel,” will arrive in Marietta Feb. 3 to speak not only with the institution’s students but the public at large at the free lecture in the McDonough Center at 7 p.m.

“I read her book and what a catchy title that was,” said Professor Greg Delemeester. “The way she approaches risk in this book is kind of by stealth.”
