Former Jacksonville Jaguars safety Donovin Darius, a first-round draft pick who played for the team from 1998-2006, was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence.

According to an inmate information search with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Darius was admitted at 2:42 p.m. Information on bond was not available.

Darius was the 25th overall selection from Syracuse and was of the team’s top defensive players for most of his career. He was released late in the 2006 season and played with Oakland and Miami in 2007.

He had 626 tackles and 14 interceptions for his career in Jacksonville.
