Video-streaming platform Vimeo has debuted a new platform designed to help creatives produce shareable, short-form videos in minutes.
This move represents part of a by the New York-based company, a subsidiary of IAC, as it ditches its so-called “YouTube alternative” status and positions itself as a place for creatives and businesses to access tools to make videos.
And it’s against that backdrop that soft launches in beta today, as it pushes to garner the attentions of companies that want to create “high-impact” videos for their various social channels.
Underpinning this new platform is a stock video marketplace Vimeo , with users able to search for relevant videos (or photos) by keywords. They can also upload their own original creations, of course.
