Star football player in Omaha, Nebraska. Scholarship at Nebraska. A four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All Pro who became the Green Bay Packers’ all-time leading rusher.

His next chapter breaks with that mainstream trajectory — .

Just don’t tell him that.

“I always dreamed about coaching, just never what,” Green said. “Basketball, baseball, football players, we’re all gamers. We all played Madden, Street Fighter.”

Almost everyone, he later added, struggling to classify former Packers teammate Brett Favre as a gamer.

“Brett was a Superman guy, not a gamer for sure,” Green laughed. “If I show him there’s a hunting game where you can shoot deer, he might have it in his back yard.”
