PEORIA (WEEK) – Part of the $2.2 trillion record stimulus package to help during the COVID-19 pandemic is going to small businesses. $350 billion to be exact. Wednesday afternoon, Peoria Charter Coach Co. announced they’ve brought back employees who were laid off with the help of the federal Paycheck Protection Program or PPP.

Congressman from the 18th District, Darin LaHood joined owner Bill Winkler to celebrate what he calls the “Federal government at work.”

The ‘PPP’ is available for “Any small business whether you have one employee or 120 employees you’re going to be eligible for the small business ppp program.” said LaHood.
