Japan’s Nikkei (N225) and South Korea’s Kospi (KOSPI) slumped 1.3% and 1.1%, respectively, in morning trade. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index (HSI) fell 0.9%, while China’s Shanghai Composite (SHCOMP) edged down 0.2%. US stock futures were muted in after-hours trading.
