New York Yankees co-owner Hank Steinbrenner died Tuesday following a lengthy illness. He was 63. 

The eldest son of former Yankees owner George Steinbrenner and his brother Hal assumed co-ownership of the team in 2010 following the death of their father, who had essentially given the duo control of the team years earlier due to his own declining health.
