REDWOOD CITY, CA – Neighboring San Mateo and Santa Clara counties announced an educational partnership to address the challenges presented by the new coronavirus crisis.
San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools Nancy Magee Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the Santa Clara County Office of Education made the joint announcement in a news release Wednesday.
The COVID-19 Education Partnership aims to help local school districts implement distance learning for all students, including those with special needs and those who speak foreign languages, meet the emotional health and wellness needs of students, family and staff, continue to assess educational needs, maintain engagement with families and establish emergency child care centers for essential workers.
