DENNIS PORT — A popular bar and grill in the heart of Dennis Port is the latest to look to add outdoor entertainment as a way to draw in more business, but some abutters and a couple of selectmen fear it might disrupt the neighborhood.
Chapin’s Fish & Chips and Beach Bar on Lower County Road secured an entertainment license from selectmen last week in a 3-2 vote. The license allows up to three musicians with amplifiers to perform outdoors from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. seven days a week.
While a handful of callers to the selectmen’s remote meeting Tuesday were in support of granting the entertainment license, some neighbors voiced their opposition to the board in emails.
