As businesses reopen across the state, the number of COVID-19 cases in El Paso continue to climb.
On Thursday local officials announced seven new deaths in El Paso, bringing the total number of fatalities in the county to 30. The seven patients had underlying health conditions, said Mayor Dee Margo.
There are 71 new cases of coronavirus in the county, bringing the total to 1,190 total COVID-19 cases.
Sixty-two patients were hospitalized as of Thursday, 40 of whom were in intensive care. Nineteen people are on ventilators, Margo said.
