Summer will look a bit different around the Boulder Valley area, with a host of popular events called off for the year or pushed to as of yet unknown dates. In Longmont, that means a number of beloved celebrations won’t be drawing visitors from around the region, and in turn won’t be pumping up the bottom lines of local businesses.
In February, Visit Longmont provided eight awards from the 2020 Tourism Grant, totaling $25,000. The grant’s purpose is to support events that attract visitors from outside of a 50-mile radius of the city and encourage tourism spending.
