Though the fabled theme parks of remain closed, a nearby sprawling dining and shopping complex will be reopening later this month, it was announced Thursday.

Disney Springs, which features a wide variety of restaurants, stores and a 24-screen movie theater, will begin a “phased reopening” on May 20, according to  Disney Springs, along with other Florida attractions, had been closed due to the pandemic.

“Disney Springs will begin to reopen in a way that incorporates enhanced safety measures, including increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both cast members and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional safety training for cast members,” wrote Disney Springs Vice President Matt Simon on the Disney park site.
