A newly formed working group with San Bernardino and Riverside county leaders of industry, government, academia and the nonprofit sector is tasked with pulling the region out of the economic cellar caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

And it’s not an exaggeration to say they have their work cut out for them.

“Everything about COVID-19 has been a formidable assignment,” began San Bernardino County Supervisor Janice Rutherford on Friday, May 22, a member of the group. “There is nothing easy about this. But there are opportunities to look at things in a different way.”
