REGIONAL — The Minnesota Department of Health announced this morning 27 new cases of COVID-19 in Nobles County during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Saturday. This brings the total number of local cases to 1,539 since testing began.
Cottonwood County now has a total of 75 COVID-19 cases, an increase of five from the previous day’s total. Jackson County has 39 (no change), Murray County 39 (no change), Rock County 22 (no change) and Pipestone County 12 (no change).
Statewide, MDH reported 14 new COVID-19 deaths as of 4 p.m. Saturday, bringing the total now to 1,040. Among the dead are 848 individuals who had resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities. Currently, there are 555 patients hospitalized in the
