STAMFORD — Jackie Pioli, an outspoken member of the Stamford Board of Education, has decided to step down from her position this summer.
Pioli, who was elected to the seat in 2018, said she wants to spend more time with her family and focus more on her work with special education students.
“I take a huge amount of time away from my family and put a lot of effort in and it’s really starting to take a toll,” Pioli said, describing her decision to step down. “I want to take my advocacy skills that I have in another direction. It’s more gratifying for me to see the help one-on-one.”
