The company said the openings across the eight stations they are opening in the state will create thousands of jobs.

TAUNTON — Amazon is opening eight new delivery stations in Massachusetts to help get their packages to front doors, the company announced Tuesday. The company said these openings will create thousands of jobs across the state, and three of the new stations will be in the Taunton area.

The buildings will be leased, and the three closest to Taunton will be on John Quincy Adams Road in Taunton in the Myles Standish Industrial Park, on West Street in Mansfield and on Commerce Boulevard in Middleboro. The delivery stations will receive packages
