Nationwide construction employment is bouncing back from the worst of the pandemic.
And the Dallas-Fort Worth area is adding more construction sector jobs, too.
Construction employment rose in all but a few U.S. metro areas in May compared April, according to the latest survey by the Associated General Contractors of America.
D-FW construction jobs increased by an estimated 1,200 jobs in May from the previous month.
North Texas led the country in construction job growth in March, adding 10,000 building jobs before the pandemic hit.
The greatest building sector employment gains in May were in Seattle (28,600) and New York City (25,000).
The Houston area added 8,100 jobs.
Dallas-area construction empoyment at the end of May was up 3,200 jobs form a year earlier. And
