The Yankees and Mets will train in New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Saturday.

In a tweet, the governor said that “as we wait on a decision from” Major League Baseball about the regular season, “I’m excited to announce that the Yankees and the Mets will resume their training here in New York for the first time in years.”

Cuomo said the state will review the teams’ plans and protocols to make sure the trainings are safe.
