TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida has passed 400,000 cases of COVID-19 after another 12,444 were reported Friday. The state also announced 135 more residents’ deaths, a day after Florida reported a record 173 deaths.
The state is now up to 402,312 cases and 5,653 resident deaths associated with the novel coronavirus since the start of the outbreak. At least 115 more nonresidents have died in Florida.
The new deaths reported Friday include 16 in Miami-Dade County, 10 in Broward and 17 in Palm Beach County.
Florida has announced more than 130 deaths each of the past four days.
And Monroe County set a one-day record with 84 new cases announced Friday.
