A group of Knox County parents, teachers and advocates has created a list of recommendations for the upcoming school year, including masks being worn by all employees and students, daily health checks and a nurse at every school.

A Knox County Education Coalition open letter released Tuesday includes 20 recommendations as school administrators decide how to handle learning in the coronavirus pandemic.

The letter comes a day before Knox County Schools will present its reopening plan at Wednesday’s board of education meeting.
