Unlike teammate Jason Heyward, Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo took the field Wednesday night against the Detroit Tigers. 

Six teams and several additional players across the league refused to play in the wake of police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, shooting a Black man named Jacob Blake, 29, seven times in the back. 

Rizzo was not one of them, as Heyward encouraged his teammates to play, but his words Wednesday night were poignant.
