EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Vanderburgh County’s 30th death due to COVID-19 involved a 49-year-old woman, according to the Vanderburgh County Health Department.

The new death was reported Monday on the Indiana State Department of Health’s statewide dashboard of cases. The report comes after a week in which the county reported deaths related to COVID-19 on four consecutive days. That includes a 92-year-old woman who was the county’s 29th reported death on Saturday.

Vanderburgh County also reported 42 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total to 3,383 since the first case emerged on March 19.
