Global chemical company Sixin North America is set to make a $5 million investment with the construction of a new facility in Taylors under a tax incentive deal with Greenville County.

Greenville County Council will vote on whether to go forward with the economic development deal after a public hearing at its 4 p.m. meeting Tuesday.

Sixin, which is headquartered Nanjing, China, is a global manufacturer of silicone and non-silicone based defoamer technologies used across many major industrial applications, according to the company’s website. 

Sixin plans to construct a facility at 1116 Tanner Road in Taylors for the manufacture of chemicals and related products, according to county documents.
