The Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars welcomed the Ezell-Harding Lady Eagles into their gym on Wednesday for a district volleyball match but were left reeling. The visitors took all three sets by double-digit points.

The Lady Eagles cruised in the first two sets, taking 16-8 leads in both before handily winning each set 25-13. It wasn’t until the third set when Clarksville Academy made things interesting.

Once again, Ezell-Harding jumped out to an early lead, this time 7-3, when CA coach Whitney Moore called timeout. Following that break, they went on a 10-1 run to take a 13-8 lead – their largest of the night.

But the Lady Eagles weren’t done. They called a timeout of their own and scored 17 of the next 19 points
