Isabella Wind was recognized by the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council as the 2020 “Project of the Year” at the virtual Michigan Energy Innovators Gala held on Thursday, Nov. 12.

According to a press release from Apex Clean Energy, Inc., the project, which will make history as the largest renewable energy project ever built in the State of Michigan, is nearing completion and is expected to commence commercial operations later this year. Developed by Apex Clean Energy and purchased by DTE, Isabella Wind is a 385 MW utility-scale wind energy project that is spread across seven townships in Isabella and Midland counties. It is expected to generate enough clean energy to power close to 92,000 American homes per year.
