State health officials reported 1,297 new confirmed cases and 23 probable cases of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, along with 13 additional confirmed deaths and 10 probable deaths.
Tuesday’s announcement represents the test results and deaths reported to the state on Sunday. While more test results were returned than the day before, percent positive remained up and accounted for the second highest percent positive recorded since Oct. 2.
Newberry County recorded 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, maintaining state’s fourth-highest rate of cumulative COVID-19 infections.
Greenwood County added 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19, Laurens County logged 10 and Abbeville County recorded five, McCormick County saw four and Saluda County had one.
This brings South Carolina’s number of confirmed cases to 205,004, probable cases to 13,908,
