Restaurants, bars serving alcohol and entertainment venues starting noon Thursday, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services Director Stephanie Browning announced at a community briefing Wednesday.

Previously, these establishments were required to close by 10:30 p.m. under the Sept. 18 health order. The social distancing and mask sections of the order are still in place.

“It is still critically important that we continue disease mitigation strategies such as wearing a mask, social distancing, avoiding gatherings, regular hand-washing and staying home when sick to limit the spread of new infections,” Browning said in a news release.
