So, they see the fire, they see the cause, and eventually in long-range plans may become an on shift investigator. So, they have front row seats if you will as to what’s causing the fires to help relay that information back to our fire and life safety public educator, as well as assist her in educating the community on what’s going on,” Brian Boutwell, Valdosta fire chief, said.
