ITHACA (WBNG) — With the coronavirus vaccine getting into arms across the country, there’s hope that the economy will be able to rebound from a year that put millions out of work.

Cornell professor of finance Murillo Campello said the latest relief bill, the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, will play a major role in getting the country back to where it was before the pandemic began causing shut-downs one year ago.

Campello said the amount of money being injected into the economy could cause slight inflation of the dollar, but adds that it’s a necessary sacrifice in a time of need.
