“She’s just constant energy,” Erickson’s classmate and teammate Maggie Hanzel said. “She goes so hard for the puck and once she gets it, it’s just so fun to watch her handle the puck because she’s so smooth with it and she’s patient.

“A lot of her lacrosse (skills) carry over into hockey, the way she can handle the puck and her patience and ability to find people who are open and distribute the puck is fun to watch.”

A fourth-year varsity regular, Erickson has always been an “energy” player for the Eagles.

Her role, however, changed significantly this season as a senior forward for Lourdes, which brings a 9-8-0 record into today’s Class A state quarterfinal game against No. 2-seeded Warroad at the Xcel
