Scotland’s 8pm curfew and alcohol ban indoors will be the ruin of restaurants

Today I’m back in the kitchen of my Edinburgh pub, The Scran & Scallie, which alongside hundreds of restaurants and pubs in Scotland will be opening for the first time since Boxing Day 2020. For hundreds more, however, the reality of the government’s restrictions make it impossible to operate, and I for one have had enough.
