The Kilgore ISD Education Foundation recently awarded $45,000 in total to four educators on two campuses, the district said. The grants are intended to fund “innovative educational goals.”

Kilgore Middle School teacher Marissa Coop was given a $5,000 grant to help students explore careers in the forensic science fields, while fellow KMS teacher Dustin Swaim will use a $5,000 grant to construct an outdoor education learning lab.

A $25,000 grant to Kilgore ISD Instructional Technology Coordinator Carl Mohn will add digital learning breakout rooms at the Kilgore High School Library, while Kilgore High School Principal April Cox was given a $10,000 grant to add flexible learning space furniture to create more collaborative learning spaces.
