MEDINA, Ohio — The Medina Board of Education has a new member — Aaron Harrison. He fills a vacancy left by the resignation of Brian Hilberg in June.

The school board met twice last week to interview candidates for the open seat and to decide on who would best fill the position.

“The purpose of this meeting, ultimately the board, we’re going to go into executive session tonight,” board President Rob Skidmore said during the body’s July 15 meeting. “We’re going to be conducting interviews of applicants, and we’ve tried to space them out in roughly 15-minute increments, it looks like.”

In all, the board conducted 11 interviews over two meetings.

“Most of what we’d do tonight would be in executive session and we may take action tonight,”
