Susan L. (Ford) Guarino, 78, of Nashua, widow of Gerald J. Guarino, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 12, 2002 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health.
A resident of Nashua for the past 60 years, she was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 6, 1943, a daughter of the late William A. and Mary E. (Walsh) Ford.
Susan grew up in Dorchester and was educated in schools there.
Susan and Jerry enjoyed spending winters in Naples, Florida and traveling together. She also enjoyed playing Bunco and ten pin bowling with the Wednesday morning coffee league. She was a member of the Nashua Emblem Club. Susan especially loved spending time with her family and was always available for a cup of tea!
In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her husband and best friend, Jerry who passed away May 19, 2018. They were married on September 19, 1961 and shared, 56 years together.
Members of her family include her three children, Gerald J. Guarino Jr. of Nashua, David Guarino and his wife Suzanne of Litchfield, and Donna Hemond and her husband Robert of Nashua; ten grandchildren, Tyler and Jake Guarino, Meghan Hemond, Molly Hemond and her significant other, Nicholas Coffey, Jeremy, Jaila, Jasmine, Jacie, John and Jay Guarino; and her neighbors, Leo and Linda Driscoll who are like her family.
