Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that established a constitutional right to abortion access — prompting fury and cheers from lawmakers along ideological lines. In the 6-3 ruling, Republican-appointed judges voted to overturn Roe and the court’s three liberals dissented, echoing a leaked majority draft opinion from published by Politico in May.
